Wondering if someone with a 98 B5 A4 would look on the water guide and see if there are any part numbers on it. The water guide is the plastic trim peace under the hood that goes from fender to fender and covers the cabin air filter, battery, and brake fluid reservoir.
My car was manufactured 10 of 1997. A 1999 and newer have been tried and does not fit.
The one on my car is missing. The Audi dealer cannot find it by description or picture in their system (not unusual for trim pieces I am told). However, I am also told there should be a Part Number on the piece. The many salvage yards I have checked either pitch it, do not inventory it, or just do not want to check.
So, if someone has a few minutes to check, I would appreciate the information.

I have talked to Shokan. They do not inventory the water guide, or many trim pieces. I asked if I drove to their office (I live in Florida) and asked to purchase a water guide would they sell me one. The answer was "no".

So, I need some help finding one for a 1998 A4. Or I need to have someone make a paper template of one, and I'll make one.

Any suggestions greatlyappreciated.

Well then there one ****ty wrecking yard. Call somewhere else that has Audis in their yard. Refusing to go out and grab a simple plastic plenum cover is horrible customer service. They obviously dont care about customers and just what makes them the most money.

We have a '98, and '99, and a '00. The '98 never had a rain tray, that was introduced with the '99 (along with the re-designed left and right cowl covers to accommodate the under-hood windshield squirters and new rain tray.)

It looks like you could swap all the components (rain tray 8D1819447A, L&R cowl covers 8D181940101C 8D181940201C, rain channel (?), battery cover 8D1819422) as a group, but there might be some hidden gotchas. I've never tried it.
