I'm brand new here (first post actually) and was wondering how often everyone meets or has shows in the area.

I'm brand new to German vehicles and in the past I was always able to find shows and such to go to in order to meet other people and see some amazing cars.

I know winter is just starting so this is a bad time but I'd still like to hear what normall happens.

Welcome to Audi World and to German car ownership. I am on my second so far and have enjoyed the experience.

As far as get togethers, I don't hear of many. The Chicago region as you can tell is not super active here. I for one would not mind meeting more local enthusiasts of Audi as there is so much to learn from the more seasoned owners. Maybe in the spring/summer we can work on something. I know a couple locals have a Vag system, so maybe we can tie in a Vag-com meet up as well and tweak the cars a bit.

Sounds good to me, I'm starting to work on a spring bash so we can all meet up and start an active local group.

I just don't understand how a city as big as Chicago as so little activity among owners. It is my goal to get that changed starting right away.

I suggest you check out the Chicagoland forum on QuattroWorld.com - lots of activity there, and it's the principal forum for the Audi Car Club.
