Default 2003 a4 convertible 1.8t

iam currently having a right chew with my heater ive had it backflushed also new water pump and it still doesn't get hot inside flaps seem to work ok seams warmer when only on low setting temp guage upto 90 anyone explain what I can do ???? thanks.

Just went through this and the only thing that finally resolved the issue was replacing the heater core. You might check the thermostat, I was showing 90 engine temp but codes showed it was faulty, unfortunately for me heater core replacement was what finally got heat in the car. Hopefully your model does not require dash removal to get to the heater core

Cheers i hope not what other ways are there to get to the core ? Im topping up my expantion bottle alot but my carpets are dry fed up

Com!!
06 is located on driver's side below console so dash did not need to be removed. I had dry carpet as well but the core was clogged up so bad not enough water moved through the core to produce heat.
