Default 2014 Q5 TDI - Breaking sensitivity?

So I had a few minor things to be changed with my Q5 TDI and I received a A6 2.0T as a loaner.

1 thing that immediately was completely different was breaking sensitivity.

On the Q5 I have to push the break in a good 1.5"'s before it starts to respond.

On the A6 I BARELY touch the break and it breaks.

How is everyone else's Q5 TDI breaks feel?

No TDI here, but the brakes on my Q5 have always felt linear and easy to modulate. No issues.

Brakes are fine. They're not grabby, which is good, and it's easy to get the amount of braking I want out of them. Yes, it does take a little travel before they noticeably engage, but I don't personally mind. You might look at adjusting your seating position to be a little closer if you have issues, since that should make it easier to quickly depress the pedal the appropriate amount.

I suppose it could be a personal preference type thing, but my Q5s brakes are some of the better I've driven in terms of linearity, ease of modulating, and outright stopping power when needed. Several prior "sporty/sports" cars I've owned could have been vastly improved if the brakes had been as solid as the Q5s... FWIW

I had the day with my wifes '14 3.0T and noticed that the brakes did not start until you have already pushed them a little bit. It was easy to get used to and nice to drive. I did not realize how much brake travel was required until I got back into my F150 and nearly through myself over the dash. My wife says that she does not notice it, so it must be one of those things you get used to.

The brakes are quite linear on the Q5 TDI, due in part to the auto shutoff when stopped. The driver can modulate the engine on off with the brake pedal depending on how far it's engaged.

Compared to my wife's A3, those brakes I find overly sensitive. The Q feels "normal" to me, the A3 takes some getting used for me when we swap cars.
