I am unable to login to control modules for level control...I get following message in Vag-Com:
"login lost due to dropped session"....everthing else is working fine.
What is causing it ?

do you have a screen saver set on your laptop? I have found when it kicks in the session will fail.

any chance you're using a 9pin serial vagcom with a usb-serial converter? I had similar problems with mine before upgrading to the usb version.

I am using USB version of the cable. It happens on either version 3x and 4x. Dont know what can cause it

Have you posted this on the vag-com list? It sounds more of a data fault and/or connection problem rather than a specific programming problem. I've got the Ross-Tech Hex-usb and have done 4 or 5 402 sessions without problems. Only other thing I can suggest; is to see if there is someone else local to you with another vag-com, to see if they get the same error on your car to see if you can narrow it to the unit or the car.
