Dreaded Discount ?
Well it is crunch time for me and I need to lock in the October lease rates just in case they go up in November. I was wondering if 3.5% off MSRP is decent works out to around $1200 over invoice. I have gotten as high as 5% off, but that was out of town and that presents an added hassle. Works out to about $30 a month more to stay local. Have waited so long because I was hoping to find one in inventory somewhere instead of ordering and my current lease is not up for 3 months.
Another issue I was wondering about is security deposit. I am new to Audi so I get stuck with that.
Was told could be waived, but my MF on lease goes up. Anyone new to Audi not pay Sec deposit assuming you leased?
Thanks

$1,200 over invoice isn't bad but you could probably do better. Ultimately I think it depends on your location and how fast they move vehicles in that area. I paid invoice but went in to the research and purchase process knowing i wouldn't pay above invoice. I hit up dealers within a 200 mile radius of where i live until I found one willing to work with me on that.
It's amazing how much variation there is. I found 2 dealerships within 90 miles of each other, one refused to budge below MSRP telling me they were selling them for $2,900 over MSRP and the second gave me the same exact car at invoice.

Check if you are eligible for supplier discount. Supplier discount is $500 over invoice. It is a huge list of discount for employees that Audi does business with. If you aren't eligible than 1200 seems decent but I have also heard other members on different forums getting 2000-2500 off. Haggle a little harder at the end of the month and see what you get. Always at the end of the month because maybe the dealership has to meet the qouta or salesmanager or salesman so always haggle at the end of the month.

If you really want one, I encourage you to take that The car was recently Dyno'd and shows that the WHP is drastically underrated by Audi from what it really is - which is why it is such a sleeper and monster. The engine is very well done and stands to become very moddable. There will only be 3,000 sold in the US for 2010.

I will probably just end up ordering one with the agreement that if I decide I want to get one sooner they can just locate one and keep my order and sell it when it comes in. The time I have put in so far on this deal is getting a little crazy just not worth $30 a month in a payment..
