New RNS-E hums noisily in right rear speaker based on display brightness level, not volume level.
It is a constant hum, regardless of music volume setting (most noticeable at low volume).
It varies based on the *brightness* level of the RNS-E display. Noticeable when at normal brightness, louder at full brightness, and much lower but still audible at dim settings. No hum at all when "display off" is selected while playing music.
Bad head unit? Is it possible that the intereference between the display backlight power and the right channel is exteral, perhaps in the wiring harness?
This problem did not exist with Symph II just removed.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Fortunately, it entirely stops when the engine is running...
But if you turn on the music before starting the car, you get the hum. At least it is in the "live with it" category.
Any thoughts?
