So, obviously this thread applies to me, so no back story. About the guy who found, from Jag mechanic, that pin 4 was co and that the 3 pin doesn't need it, do i only need to modify the sensor socket and plug away, or do i still need the pot/resistor? thanks

What would happen if pin4 is just left unplug?

you need the resistor and potentiometer.
t-rex: i dont think the car will run... or you will get a check engine light.

I hope I interpreted the wiring right. The first pic is how nothing wired it. The second pic is a more generic way of how to wire it.
