Performance chips? Worth the money?

Performance chips? Worth the money?
I have a 2008 S5 with a V8...I feel like the car has a lot more potential then what I get from it currently. I have been reading alot of reviews for the performance chips and I am wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them so I know what to expect and if this is a worthy venture?
