Default ESP button don't work

Hi everyone,

When I push my ESP button on my A6 2008 3.2, nothing happen. No light on the dash, no difference on my driving experience.

I did a vcds scan and there's nothing shown in the log file about ESP or ABS.

Anyone know if my button is broken or what ? (I don't hear click btw)

thank you.

So, I noticed my ESP button acting the same way.

I push it in (there is no click like all the other buttons) and nothing happens. I can push and hold for a few seconds or many seconds and still nothing happens.

Bad button? Something possibly come disconnected on the back side?

Are you pushing the button while driving? If so, you can't turn off ESP if you're going over 70km/h.

Try pushing it when the car is stopped.

My Valet button acts the same way, you press it and it doesn't click or do anything. Maybe it's a bad button?

I finally solved my problem the clip was broken behind. Just use a credit card to remove the button. There's too much engineering on those buttons.

I figured my issue out as well. The plug had come undone from the button. Plugged it back in and its as good as new.

MikeRouze, I'd pull the button out if I were you and see if everything is still plugged in. Grab the blank button next to it with your finger nails and pull out. That makes it easier to get the valet button out.
