Wrecked Q5
So the unthinkable happened the other day on the way to work -- I got sideswiped by an 18-wheeler on a two-lane exit ramp. Fortunately no one got hurt and the accident wasn't my fault. Unfortunately my beautiful Q5 Premium Plus with 2100 miles on it looks like this... 10-14 business days to get it patched up. It'll need two new door shells, a mirror, and some other work done. Hopefully she'll come back as good as new, but I'll be anxious about it until I see the results.

it'll buff out!...by the body man after some fresh paint of course. glad your lights arn't broken, having one light replaced sucks, they wear unevenly. rims are intact too and so are your windows and no airbag deployment. insurance is there for a reason! let us know what the bill is like!

I am so very sorry about the accident - even though it really hurts to see the damages (a BIG ouch!), it was indeed fortunate that no one was hurt!
The body shop people do great work so it will look great when they are done with it!!!

I had similar damage happen to my last A4 (hit while parked) and the body shop fixed it like new. Paint match was flawless. Don't worry there is hope.

I concur with all the comments above - my brand new A4 was in an accident as well a few years ago, just after I got it. I feel for you! Fortunately all the damage appears superficial and should be repaired as-new. Best of luck to you!

Man that SUX! Glad to know nobody hurt. Good thing that the repairs will not involve steering/suspension components or wheels and tires. Sheet metal is fairly simple to remove/replace. Looks like you'll be needing a couple of fenders too. How did the rear bumper cover fair? It looks gouged in the pics. If it has a hole in it or any kind of perforation insist that it be replaced. If they try to fill it there is a 50% chance that the fill will fail within 3 years.
