Help my A4 Ultra Sport out
I have a 2004.5 silver A4 ultra sport-arguably better looking than an S4 and more aerodynamic with that hot front spoiler. It sure as hell looks fast but its still a 1.8t. What can I do/what options do I have to get this sub 180 hp engine to kick it at 200+ hp. Please make any suggestions, im stuck. Intake? filter? chip? exhaust? and please send links and brand names of components and costs, im serious about making this car a serious performer.
Thanks guys

Re: Help my A4 Ultra Sport out
-the main thing you need is a chip, i think the best ones out there are revo and giac for 2004's, apr has been getting a lot of complaints lately (prob need a dv to acompany this)
-the next thing you need is an exhaust, for this i would look at the thermal r&d, good price and excellent performance gains; but their are pleny others too (apr, miltek, neuspeed, borla)
-intake is not necessary on our cars but if you really want one you can try the boosted tech CAI
-if your serious about performance, you can also get a better intercooler setup, either front mount or dual side mount
-if you wanna go all out then get a big turbo kit like the ko4 setup

170 hp--- for real gains need REAL turbo, exhaust, clutch, flywheel
you'll need new injectors and out of good measure I'd throw in an IC mister
And port and polish the head while you're at it.
AMS was grumbling about a decent 270 kit back when ABT an co. were nice nice... and they also sell a 2.0 conversion

Garrett is doing their own kits and software now, longitudinal up to 2001.5, hopefully use soon
<a href="http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/kits/kit_VW_18T_Longitudinal.htm">turbo by garrett</a>
and APR is attempting some giant 340 (?) hp kit

it takes A LOT to make these heavy cars of ours quick... is it worth it, you be the judge
