Default 96A6Q T belt --best place to buy that rents the cam tools

What is the best source to get the T belt, water pump and tensioner. I read a post awhile back about an online outfit that rents the cam positioning tools. Any one know about this? Love this forum. Audi folks are teh best.

Try this ebay. Anyhow, if you buy the tools, when you're done, you can rent it to me. I already have the 3242, he would sell the 3243 for $86 + shipping.

I'm thinking about doing my 96 in the next few weeks.

I just got inside from doing my waterpump, timing belt, and all of the other goodies. I purchased my parts from ecstuning.com which came with all of the parts including the thermostat. I purchased those same parts that is listed in the that link off of e-bay and they came quick. The only thing I could not get to work was the hook on the holding tool. As for the cam puller I purchased that little device from a site called metalnerd.com it worked like a charm and was 100 times better than what I tried to use from some of the local auto stores. After you have the parts and the correct tools in hand the job does not take that long to do. I hope this helps.

Section9,
Can you write up the procedure that you used to replace the timing belt and waterpump?
If you don't use the hook, how does it work on the cams themselves? I'm going to do mine soon, any tips would help?
Are you going to use the cam tool any more? Can you rent it to me so like we can share the cost? I think I only use this one time and I'm not going to use it ever again.

Thanks,
