Denison iceLink Plus or DICE

My thoughts exactly....
My '03 A4 does NOT have steering wheel controls. And I can't imagine I'd use the head unit's CD skip buttons over a well mounted iPod. So I've all but made up my mind that the best option *for me and my situation* is the blitzsafe.
Thanks again everyone for all the input! I'll be sure to post my experience with Blitzsafe in a few weeks once I've had a chance to get it, install it, and all that jazz.
-Kris
ps. One more CON to add to the Blitsafe for those concerned about battery life (which would be all of us) might be the inability to have it NOT charge while connected. I haven't seen documentation one way or the other on this, but I'm guessing it's always charging.

Regarding Blitzsafe charging...
As I understand it, it will only charge for a certain amount of time after the car is turned off (maybe 2 hrs). That will not be enough to kill your battery unless it's already seriously compromised.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Tested this in an A3 w/Concert and MFSW - it is indeed faster!
Did a swap today from Icelink to DICE in a client's A3. He's been following this thread and requested Simple mode due to your post.
We tried it both ways and the reaction time is indeed faster with Simple mode!
The funny thing is, we still get track and disc info on his Concert, but no elapsed time.
I didn't notice any change in iPod illumination behavior, but I didn't play with those settings in the iPod either. I'm sure the client will post his own experiences too...

Forgot to mention, this is FW set xxxxxxxx9 (number under bar code, last digit of first group)
If you have issues, and have a number lower than 9, I'd get it upgraded (there have not been 9 Audi versions, I'm told, each individual FW drop gets a number).

I think they sound spot on.
From the dialog we've had (and some reading of the DICE documentation), I've drawn conclusions about the DICE product that line up exactly with what you've said. I'm glad you're in synch.
I think the value of the steering wheel control is pretty high so if you've got them, the DICE makes sense. I think it's too bad Denison no longer bundles the cradle and it's a shame the firmware is not field upgradable, but hey -- that's their definition of progress I guess.
