Default That is not how I would look at it - I would look at the potential problems and the cost involved

with the repair of having water or debris in the fuel system. But WTF I'm just a manufacturing engineer and costs always mattered to me (down to the $0.001 cent when I was making LEDs for HP)

Default Summary of this thread

If you price shop for gas you should not have purchased the car in the first place (you cant afford it since the car requires you to use only the most expensive gas which logically is better than the less expensive gas)

Do not, under any circumstances, price shop for gas from someone who also priceshops for gas from their suppliers. If this is confusing see above rule.

Brand is important so never mix brands that are associated with cheap and convenient (7-eleven) with one that is luxury and performance (Audi). Seriously - do they sound like they go together?

There is a secret sauce in the gas from the big companies. We dont know exactly what it is but trust the bigger oil companies to charge more for that which is worth more and not to gouge us.

Bad gas will likely do something bad for the car (like... well, something really bad). Its the same with gas as it is with their big gulps - beware.

Is this about right?

Sorry for the quick rant- Im just in a pissy mood because of the economy

Default Re: Summary of this thread

lol - ok then,. i'm going to create this gasoline company called "Great Gas" and charge $3.00/gal.

i should get rich quick because guys like you always buy the most expensive gas because technically paying more means better.

you guys should just save all this wasted bandwidth and find more useful things to post.. the orginal question was where does 7-11 get their gas. I've discovered where now..

never seen a forum full of grumpy old farts.. must be related to the rs4 price too. smoke some weed and relax.. there would probably be more useful posts.

Default Also, wasn't CPT Mdnight agreeing with two2?

His post seemed pretty satirical of the top tier gas companies, especially with his posts below.
