Can someone tell me what this silver canister is in the picture?
New owner '04 A4 B6 3.0 manual quattro, My car is missing this part,does anyone know what it is please?

I checked with the mechanic and he said that it's an air pressure pump and it's in that place only in V6 engines. I didn't pay attention that you already had that engine, so I don't know why you don't have it. Hope that any audi gurus here can give you an explanation, sorry for not providing much help.
