Check Engine Light help
Hello all,
I have recently purchased a 2003 Allroad and was driving through 12"+ of snow leaving work today and check engine light came on. No previous codes or issues. any thoughts? Can driving in deep snow set off some sensor? Or am I looking at something major from something so simple like just driving.

Just driving through snow won't set the CEL. In some cases it will confuse the suspension if you more or less get high centered but that's a whole different ball game. Pull the codes and see what it's complaining about.
When you do, list mileage, year, and the codes. That should help.

CEL can be set off by anything from a loose gas cap to the torque converter clutch and ANYTHING in between. If it's flashing, you are having a misfire problem or similar.
Go get a free scan at Advance, Autozone, etc...
