Audi A8 D2 (ABZ Engine model) passenger side cam shaft end cover stripped torx bolt
Hello good Audi people,
I have an Audi A8 D2 4.2 Quattro 1999 (ABZ Engine model) and I am in the work of replacing the timing belt, water pump …etc.
Unfortunately I have found out that the passenger side cam shaft end cover has a stripped torx bolt. This is the cam shaft end cover that needs to be removed so the 3341 Camshaft Locating fixture can be mounted there for the timing belt replacement procedure. It has two T27 torx bolts and the most unfortunate thing is that it is the lower torx bolt that is stripped and this bolt is the hardest to reach in an already tight place.
How can this bolt be removed?
After removal where can I get a replacement bolt?
Also there is another stripped bolt that is the lowest bolt on the passenger side timing belt cover. That I can most likely remove with maybe a Grip-Tite tool, but that bolt also need to be replaced so I need a replacement bolt for this one as well.
But my main concern now is this lower stripped torx bolt on the passenger side cam shaft end cover. See the attached picture.
Please help!
