can anyone please tell me which audi models have the hands-free tailgate option?
this is important to me - i am getting my walker in and out of the car boot four or five times a day so for me it is a deal-breaker! Thanks

A tailgate implies a wagon or SUV but you talk of boot so where do you live and which models are you considering?
In my personal observation and from reading forums, I would conclude that the Audi systems may never let you walk anywhere due to their exceedingly intermittent operation.

Where do you live as this feature is not available in some locations and models?

Take a look at the A7. The hatch can open using the key fob, waving a foot under the bumper (optional) and switches on the drivers door and above the license plate.

The hatch closes by pushing a button inside the hatch and the key fob can be programmed to close the hatch.

The A7 also has a huge trunk (3' x 4') for stowing a walker.
