so my brother in law is a used car dealer and his partner is a man of many talents. he took a look at my car yesterday and somehow fixed it without changing the strut. the right side was leaking. he injected fix a flat into the airbag, and did a bunch of other stuff i didn't understand. now obviously fix a flat isn't a perfect but i figure if it worked, why not. and if it didn't, i have to change the strut anyways. also for the level control pressure sensor, i was told you needed to change the entire compressor. how true is that?

Fix Flat or Slime might work for some time but it might also create additional problems if it gets into system. Pressure sensor is part of the valve block.

Big +1 here, a lot better off in the long run replacing a single air strut or pump than getting fix-flat throughout the air system. Too many good parts can go bad as the system vents through the valve block etc, not through the strut, thereby getting fix flat throughout the system. I had an allroad prior to the A8 and a number of allroad forum guys regretted the easy slime fix for their air suspension.
