Bringing the car in for service... tip the techs?
I'm taking my car in next Tuesday to have the brakes checked, primarily. Additionally, my front left speaker keeps cutting out, so I'm gonna ask them to check it out. This makes me a little nervous, because when they pull my radio there gonna see my Blitzsafe adapter and various other cords back there that aren't OEM Audi. You think they'll cry warranty-void because of that? I KNOW that's not causing the speaker to go out, and other people have had the same problem without Blitzsafe.
My plan is to, as always, write out the reasons the car is in for service and leave a copy in the car for the mechanics (this has helped me in the past)... I'm thinking about taping 20 bucks onto that note for the mechanics, as a little encouragment to fix the small problem without going nuts about warranty issues. Is this a bad idea? Any advice?

I shmeer the service writer and the tech ten bucks each.......
...and have noticed a significant uptick in the level of service I get. It helps to build good will, especially if one is "modded".
