Default Question: I just finished replacing the alternator, and am curious about the coolant capacity.

I had to drain everything to get the radiator off, but the car only took about 5.0L of coolant/water mix before it was registering full. Is that normal?

You know...the alternator comes off without removing the radiator.

Default how would you get the alternator out without pulling everything?

have to remove the viscious fan, which I dont see how that would be possible without pulling everything...anyways, it is done and now I just need to know if it is normal for ~2.0L of coolant to stay in the motor.

Default Did you completely drain the radiator and flush the whole coolant system

when you removed the radiator? Or, did you just pull the plug on the radiator disconnect it and set it aside?

Default thxs. I fired it up last night for about 5 seconds just to make sure nothing was leaking

and it seems like I managed to not fvck anything up which is nice. It will be nice to drive my car again. It has been sitting so long that cobwebs have started forming all under the car...
