retrofit servotronic to a4b8
hi i am trying to retrofit servotronic steering to my a4 b8 avant auto 2009 2.0 tdi i have the correct rack out of an 2010 s line a4 avant but need the wiring diagram or instructions to wire from the socket on the rack to the ecu or were ever i realise i will have to recode to activate as well, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this for starters! Hoping you have access to a coding tool such as vag com. I am also hoping that this is not a dead end as this repair manual link below says that the steering wheel control unit has to be coded online using SVM (software version management)

hi jatmobil thanks for your reply it has been a great help, i was under the impression all i needed was the correct rack and two wires running to the euc but looking at the repair manual link it looks like i will also need a control unit J792 and the ACTUATOR which is built into the lower steering column which is the electric motor which helps turn the wheels thus making the steering lighter/heaver depending on your speed,i am getting all the parts from the breakers yard so can anyone confirm exactly all the parts i would need to take off the doner car.
