Driving Denver to Seattle. Suggestions or WX concerns?
I've planned through Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, Boise. How is the weather in the Rocky's this time of year?
Assuming of course I actually buy the car.
Thx

Some suggestions........
Since you didn't specify how soon, I'll assume within the next two weeks.
Expect windy conditions on along I-80, don't bother with dropping down in to SLC unless you meeting someone, it's out of the way. My route would be this.....
I-25 N. to Cheyenne, I-80 West, West of Rock Springs take exit 66 onto US 30. This is a scenic route, but beware, there is about a 20 mile stretch that is notorious for deer strikes, huge fencing along the sides but still watch for deer and fog. You'll come out just a tic south of Pocatello, Id on I-15. Go north into Pocatello and catch I-86/I84 west into Boise and head on north. You can then catch I-82 which will turn into I-90 and take you straight into Seattle.
This time of year you can still expect the possibility of snow and fog about 6,000 ft and rain is a distinct possibility anywhere in Oregon and Washington. Watch for deer, antelope through Wyoming and Idaho, and Moose, etc. through Oregon and Washington.
Oh yeah, and truck traffic is heavy all times of the year along I-80 and can be heavy along US 30.
My sig line: I'm not a trip router, just a tourist trucker.

I drove I-90 east to I-25 south when I drove down in August
I would suggest, if you want a boring safe drive, take that way back. If you want exciting, you can follow me back to Seattle in Early june. I'm taking the other way through UT, ID, OR, then washington... just a thought
