Default Re: holy crap.... the twisty roads are a little scary when you don't know whats around the corner...

If it was a curve and they were haulin a$$, then turn, realize they are going too fast and let off these car are known for unloading the rear end and coming around. and with inexperience comes, on more than one occasion in "our community" a tragic accident.

Default re: the road....

other than some decent S-bends it's pretty smooth where the accident was. Nothing that would really upset the car

Default I drove by it on the way back from lunch (i work in the Research Park)...

And I didn't see any obvious signs that would cause a spinout like that...

However, the location on challenger Parkway suggests what you mentioned above. The proximity to Alafay tells me that he probably left campus going southbound on Alafaya, turned onto eastbound challenger and floored it. There is a bit of a straight section and then a slight bend. I regularly get up to around 45 or 50 to go around people in the morning that are turning into the Volvo/Adaptec complex...

On the way home, I'll verify which tree he hit, and see if there are any obvious signs of tire marks etc...

Someone on SRTForums suggested that sprinklers might have wet the road in that area.

Default oh crap, that is funny. Last Sunday I ran into one of our old bar tenders....

Rich, he worked there the same time as Ed. I was at the Bahama Breeze down by Disney with Breeze's family, and he was our server. He recognized me immediately.

don't think you'd leave skids on wet roads if that were true
