In reality, I most likely do not want this feature. I really could care less for it. I really wanted the auto close trunk which was on the original 2013 order guide, but was quickly removed when the error was found.

You can keep your defective trunk popper. I like my hair. If I need hair removal, I will just stick my head under the lazers.

Good decision on the sensor. Bad decision on the lasers.

Just got my 14 A6 and me and I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to kick properly to open. I still haven't figured out a reliable way to do it. I need someone to make a youtube video of their kicking technique.

Interesting as that video seems to show A7 and A8, but the owners manuals says to slide your foot back and forth under the center of the trunk.

I think THIS GUY engineered that trunk opening foot sequence... that A7/A8 video confirms it.

I agree, I give up on the damn thing I have less than 20% success rate and I am sure I look like an *** in the parking lot of the supermarket waving my leg and then having to reach for the trunk release anyway. How hard is it to get that to work.

Had my 2014 for about 3 weeks now. Out of the 10 or so tries, it's worked 9 at least. I kick just to the right of the rear plate. Seems to be about a second delay, I guess to let you regain your footing before it opens. Works pretty well in my opinion.
