Default Wheel and Tire question

I'm planning to change to the 20" wheels from the S6 (if I can get a good price) but I have a 2 part question:

1. Will the rims from the S7 fit on an A6?

2. Can someone recommend a tire that's a good balance between price and performance. I truly don't believe that Michelin tires are worth the additional $150 per tire. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I really feel like I'm paying for the name Michelin.

Can't speak to the specific rims from the S6 (though you also mention S7 - not sure which) but would suspect they'll be okay. With regard to 20" tires, you'll see from my Avatar pic I have the 20" S-line A6 wheels and, if they are a fit for the wheel that you settle on, I'd give a thumbs up to the Hankook Ventus V12 evo 2's tires. Way cheaper than Michelins at approx. $150 each. Nice riding tire, handles very well when you start to throw it around a bit. I must confess there is some tire roar but certainly not over-obtrusive. They're about 2,500 miles in thus far and wear seems very minor but these are summer tires (I don't need anything else in Wilmington NC), which presumably wouldn't be appropriate all year round in Philly unless you change one season to another.

Thanks so much for your reply TechCom Mike. This is the info I was looking for. Now I just need to find the wheels I'm looking for and I'll be all set for the spring. I'm planning to keep the 18"s with all season tires for the winter and switch to the 20"s when it gets warm.
