Default I forget why I had it off. Regardless, I recall that everytime I had to remount on the carriers

it was a PITA. And, when I screwed up the threads, I was almost SOL. I think the studs are a much better idea, IMO. Perhaps you might suggest that if you're going to be providing them feedback.

Default Re the Stoptech pricing...

You can ask for different pads to be shipped with the kit. They'll credit the cost of the Axxis pads and only charge the difference. I don't think that any of the kits comes with a track pad, so they all require the purchase of additional pads at some point.

Default rotor hat = rotor ....

same thing for RAD69's stop-techs right now.. the hats are hosed (craked to ****) , he needs to BUY new ones before selling them (that is bull. - ST should provide them for free- crappy structure ).

http://search.audiworld.com/?q=cracked+hat&u=&s=all&db=1999-01-01&de=2006-09-05</a

Default Re: Hmm...

Yes, we do run the belleville springs on all of our race setups. Rotors are not changed every race - in fact 2 cars last year ran 1 set each for the entire season!

Your claim regarding the reliabilty of our float system is indeed unfounded - I am personally responsible for examining and reporting on each and every failed part. Not a single one can be attributed to our float system.

What are your engineering credentials? You can come up with a failure analysis by looking at pictures on the internet? As for me, I have multiple degrees in physics and engineering, as well as years designing and manufacturing racing components. I've seen and analyzed the parts in question, and I can tell you that your claim is categorically false. We stand behind our products 100%.

What is interesting is how you feel the need to threaten or belittle our product instead of commenting on the virtues of the Brembo kit.

Default uhhh, i just looked through those quickly and didn't see anything related to this discussion.

which is failures due to the plating of the rotor rings or bellville washer system . . . and the vast majority were not related to the Stasis brakes at all.

i've narrowed your search and the Stasis mention is their caliper carrier whose design has changed.

i'm a little concerned because i have the older design Stasis hats, but that failure doesn't appear to be related to anything talked about in this thread. could be wrong. didn't see the thread in the search.

maybe i missed it. help me out. if i'm totally off-base, i definitely want to learn.

http://search.audiworld.com/?q=cracked+hat+stasis&u=&s=all&db=1999-01-01&de=2006-09-05

I feel "special", I assume you are recalling my issues. I certainly hope there aren't 2 of us.

Default Seems that somehow STaSIS and StopTech have become one when it comes to our "issues"...

which seems a bit odd. I have never seen this issue with an Alcon rotor.

Cheers,
