Default Yup, that's the only reason I bought a BMW 330cic.

I absolutely love driving manual.

I used to drive a 1998 Audi A4 2.8Qtip. Great car, but the 330 is a lot more fun!

Default Nice ride, but for not much more dough you could be in a S4 cab

Base 330 cic is about $46k. And I'm guessing you added a few options, like those nice wheels.
Base S4 cab 6MT is about $53K. Includes quattro and 340 HP V8.
But I guess I am biased. I also like to take my cab skiing on days when only four wheel drive vehicles are allowed up the mountain.

Default Didn't want a V8.

I could have gotten the S4 cab, but I really didn't want a V8. I've driven the 4.2 in my dad's A8 and mom's allroad. It's an amazing engine, don't get me wrong. But, I guess I'd always feel like I was only using about 50% of its potential unless I took it out on a track. With the 3.0 in-line 6, I feel like I'm actually using the engine's full potential and getting decent gas mileage at the same time. It's a lot of fun to drive! I did 480 miles last weekend going up through the North Cascades National Park, staying in Winthrop, then coming down the east side through Chelan and Leavenworth, and back over Stevens Pass.
As for skiing, Quattro is great, and I'll miss it! But with slick performance tires, I wouldn't take a car up into Stevens or Snoqualmie passes even if it does have Quattro. I learned that one with performance tires in Tahoe on my 1998 A4 2.8Qtip.

Best,
James

Default Re: CPO is no guarantee as dealers do not always inspect them..

What about CarFax? My dealer showed me the rundown on the car I bought that had 10K miles on it. No accidents.
