Assuming the wheel clears the calipers, would it be fine to run it with 18 inch wheels and only 40H tire sidewalls?
Interestingly, in the Audi catalog not exist wheel for A4/S4 18x8 ET35

Many online stores write what is not true

I know that my friend tried to install 18" from A6 and A5 (OEM Audi) it is impossible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Due to the size of the brake calipers

Exists an option but with spacers

TireRack is not your average online store, as they are well known for their testing, and customer service. If TR says a wheel will fit, it will fit. As you know, not all wheels are created equal. The specifications may read the same between two wheels, but internal wheel diameter and barrel construction can lead to minor variations between wheels, rendering some 18" wheels being able to fit and other not being able to fit. Again, TireRack test fits all the wheels.

Default 2008-2018 Q5 Wheels Compatibility

Got a 2011 Q5 that came with ...

17' - 8R0601025G with E8Jx17H2ET39, it was upgraded by Audi upon delivery to 18' - 8R0601025C with E8Jx18H2ET39.

I am looking for another upgrade as a mate has a set of spare 19' from his 2015 Q5 S-Line package, it's 19' - 8R0601025CD with E8Jx19H2ET27.

My question here is, will the 19' fit? Is ET27 vs ET39 a concern on my 2011 Q5? If it is, will spacer work, though I personally prefer to fit the rim on without any third party or additional spacers used? In addition, I also use Konig T2 Magic snow chain in winter, the chain is 15mm thick, will it be a concern if I fit the 19' ET27 wheel on (as it is with no spacer used) as well as the 15mm snow chain? The snow chain factory noted "16 mm inside and on-the-tread clearance." required.

Much appreciated.
