Default show me your long-term memory data

Curious to see what other C7's trip computers are showing for long-term memory data (MPG, avg speed, etc.) and how the different engines compare in terms of MPG and considering avg speed. Please specify what engine you have - mine is a TDI and I've found the long-term memory MPG to be about 1-2 MPG higher than my actual average calculated @ fill-ups. Here's mine:

That's pretty standard for all DIS computer mpg calculations - all of my Audis have read higher than actual. If you have VCDS, there is a mod to change it so the DIS displays consumption very close to reality.

My car is a 2012 2.0T with CVT and FWD.

At first I got to 31.7 mpg, 52 mph, 4489.6 mi, and then it got reset at the 5,000 mile service.

Then 31.3 mpg, 43 mph, 7941.1 mi.

But from then on, I started resetting it after each fill-up so that I could compare to the hand calculated mpg. I actually found that my car reading is very close.

30.9 47 195.2
30.5 40 528.3
29.0 32 501.2
31.7 48 496.3
30.0 36 504.9
29.6 34 508.3
29.5 41 538.7
32.8 57 373.3
32.6 54 376.7
30.2 30 542.2
31.3 51 328.4
32.9 52 387.9
30.9 41 594.2

I have also tracked almost every fill-up on Fuelly.com, which you can access through the link in my signature.

The 2.0T CVT gets great gas mileage in the city and on the highway, and is easily the best total cost A6 (car + fuel) if mileage is your priority.

This looks almost like mine, except I have more miles. I am averaging 23-25 mph and 18-18.5 mpg. 95% of driving is city.

I use my long term memory to log data between fill-ups and the short-term serves for whatever trips I take during the day before it resets itself (after 2hrs??--can't remember). I have logged the numbers and my MPG reading (37.32 on the instruments and 36.61 on fill-ups and mileage) is 1.77% high on the instruments over the first 6339 miles. Avg. speed is 46.6 MPH.

I sometimes wonder how accurate the miles traveled is. Not to highjack the thread but has anyone done careful measurements on the MPH accuracy (which may also be related to MPG)?

Not surprise that the TDI, like almost any car, gets much better mileage at moderate highway speeds and continuous driving, Driving along at 45-50MPH it often shows an instantaneous MPG of around 60 MPG or even higher. The other day I was watching it sit at 46 MPG at 80 MPH driving in the very flat central valley of California. Two trips from Northern Idaho to Davis CA and back have given me a lot of highway driving with few stops; Oregon has lower speed limited. Again, no surprises here.

2014 Audi A6 TDI Prestige, Driver Assist and Innovation. Silver and Beige.

Nice mileage. Yes there was a thread on odometer accuracy here:

Is there a way to adjust when the short term resets?

Thanks. Confirms what I have observed. 2-3 mph high at 70-75. Oregon has lots of those radar signs that show your speed so I have a pretty good survey. At lower speeds there isn't a lot of difference but at highway speed the speedo is always high as the thread explains very well,

I have been pleased with the mileage on the TDI and if it's like my Jetta TDI it will get better with time. I am fortunate to do a lot of driving with few stops and stoplights and little traffic which is where a diesel excels. In city stop and go driving electrics have them beat. I would have bought a Tesla if I spent an hour in a traffic jam every day. Well, not really but it would be the better car. Every time i sit down in the A6 I just love the experience.

Back to the thread. Thanks everyone for the cool pix.
