Alright looking for ideas for an Ash Tray Compartment Mod. I don't have a use for an ashtray or lighter and was wondering if anyone has any projects for that area?

My wife already said no to the Ash tray to Cigar tray mod

I'd prefer something more useful for that space also, but never really considered modding it. What do you have in mind?

I am having the controls for my aftermarket stereo, radar detector and laser jammer installed there.
Should have pics tomorrow morning, I hope.

If nothing else there's the OEM part that replaces the ashtray/lighter with one nice big tray.

I use the cigarette lighter for the radar detector
Keeps my driving record flawless

I think this is the most useful because its the only place big enough to store my sunglasses since the actual sunglass holder won't hold anything larger than normal eyeglasses.

I wish I had the lighter for my dashcam. I have to run the wire to the center console area because I have the open tray there.

That's what I use it for. The overhead is only big enough to keep a spare set of my wife's sunglasses.
