After a bit of price negotiating I purchased ding shield as well as wheel and tire protection with my SQ5. I cannot imagine they would exclude the Q5.

Mine was straight through the dealer and the company is called ding shield, not sure if it can be purchased after the fact. Here are the only pictures I was able to grab when I went in to sign paperwork last week, straight off the boat still wrapped up in plastic and everything!

I think it is a waste of money. Most plans I have seen are $500+. I owned my S5 for four years not one ding. But I did have one on my 2010 GMC truck. $45 and it looked great. I park as far out as possible so I really didn't see me needing it on my SQ5

Negotiated mine down quite a bit or I would tend to agree. Also depends on where you live in the country. I'll tell you living in Boston, where there is no such thing as parking as far out as possible, dents/scratches are inevitable and will add up very quickly (had a very small door ding on my S5, $150 later..). Do what works for you and remember everything is negotiable, dealers have a pretty nice markup on these types of add-ons.
