Exhaust recommends for ‘07 4.2 A6
I bought my 2007 A6 almost a year ago and the one thing that’s been driving me crazy is how old man quiet it is. My previous vehicle was an 07 Ram with a full aftermarket exhaust that was fully muffler deleted and was just the right volume inside and out. Now I can’t seem to find aftermarket full exhausts for the car so what do you guys recommend? I’m curious if an A8 4.2 exhaust could be modified to fit an A6 or if just keeping factory tubing and getting some market mufflers? I’m looking to sink a little bit of money into sound without breaking the bank.

@ElReggie - doubt you'd get much benefit or difference through simply adding the A8's exhaust to what already exists on your car, since it's the same engine and similar exhausts. What I did was remove the rear mufflers and add some custom fab piping and a set of Magnaflow 35173 and you'll have something sounding like this:
