my transmission won t go into reverse and goes into drive hard and it feels like it is starting in 3rd gear Ive read they call this limp mode is there a fix for this or is the tranny gone thanks any help would be great

Did you search? If you do, you'll find about 100 posts suggesting that you pull and post codes and check trans fluid.

I did search they said it might be the TCM and the code is P0730 I wasn t sure they were talking about the same thing

If you get on top of it now, you might be able to save it with a simple fluid change. Has worked for some as other threads show, even worked on a Boxster S on "Wheeler Dealers".

However, your first move should be driving to a local quality independent shop to have codes pulled, if you don't have software to pull codes yourself. However, if your's is already in limp mode, the odds are not likely in your favor.

My tranny started shifting between gears kind of hard, was going to take it to have fluid changed, and it grenaded before I had the opportunity.
