Default Coolant in wire harness
Found coolant in the wire harness going to my ABS and ECU module. Has any one experience this before and what was the culprit? Oh yes, both those module are toast now.

2002 A6 3.0

I would imagine its one of the coolant temp sensors doing it. There the only electrical device submerged in coolant.

Isn't that wire harness below the expansion tank? Perhaps coolant overflow or expansion tank leakage got the coolant into the harness?

How about a leak from the coolant expansion tank?

Is it possible the coolant expansion tank overflowed or leaked/cracked and dumped coolant?
