"protection packages" for inbound RS7????
So my dealer told me our RS7 should be here, on time, the week of 24 Feb.
He sent me a list of optional add-ons/packages that he'd love to sell me.
I'm thinking lo-jack and not sure of the others....Saw some other options mentioned in this forum, like expell (sp?), that I'm thinking of...
what do all of you think? of the prices? suggestions?

I just had the same decisions you are going through when I bought my new RS7. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago. I live in NY area. Lots of snow and road salt...
Buying a $120,000 car I was not messing around and I went with the paint protection/interior protection. I added a Lojack and remote starter (controlled by iPhone).
Also did Clear Bra, Dent protection, and windshield coating/protection. They threw in the Audi Care.
I also needed a set of winter wheels/tires - $5,800 - ouch ...work well in the Northeast - MUST have winter tires - 20" of snow in the past few days!
That being said car is AWESOME! I get many comments in the last 2 weeks.
Can't wait for Spring!
Driven.

U can add most of those options for half the price by doing them on your own not through the dealer. LoJack and xpel and tints I mean, not sure on paint protection

so they called today and the car is in....sent me a teaser pic.
i will get them to do the window tint and remove the RS7 logo from the rear (something I learned from Audi/German drivers)...
Audi care was thrown in for free. thank God.
the other stuff I will do after I pick up the car...

Look up specialists in your area that call themselves detailers.
They specilise in applying the perfect bodywork protection. They can travel and apply the protection on your front drive or even at the dealer. The trouble with dealers applying the body work protection is that they do not do it properly. They rush the job and do not prep the car properly. Have a read on this. Good luck and enjoy the car.
