Audi RS7 cooling fan
So since I've had my new RS7 in the Northeast I notice that every time I park the car, even after short drives/not aggressive, I hear a cooling fan click on for about 2 minute....is this normal?
I had a 2000 S4 that rarely had it's fan come on....so new to me.
Thanks.

I don't think so; the fan comes on after the car has been switched off for 20-30 seconds. Also, the time that the fan stays on seems to vary, I'm guessing it is dependent on how hot the engine/turbos/oil temp is.
Back in October (before the awful winter), after a long, hard run I parked and shut off the car and went into the for about five minutes. When I came back out, the fan was still running.

Thanks. I guess I was just a bit surprised given the very cold temps we've had here this winter and the fan comes on even with seemingly short trips. I agree with being happy the fan is keeping engine nice and cool. I'm sure it will get a work-out this summer...
