I just bought a 2011 TT and it has the TFSI badge in the back. I'm aware of what it stands for and what it means, but I'm wondering why I don't see any other TT's on the road with that badge on the back. I thought all of the newer TT's had TFSI? In fact, Wikipedia makes it sound like all of the engines in the last generation have been TFSI except for the V6 that was made for a while.

So what's the deal? Are people just de-badging the TFSI logo?

The TFSI engine was not introduced until the 2011 model. I have never seen a "TFSI" badge on any TT. Maybe yours was added by the prior owner?

Just for info I have a 2009 TTS with engine code CDMA and it is a 2.0L TFSI.

No badge on car pertaining to engine. However, I just purchased the car and it my have been there when new. VagCom reports CDM (TFSI) engine code. I'm not sure where the code is marked on the engine block to confirm.
