My A6 blew a hose this year, mechanic recomended replacing several other hoses at the same time. Audi OE hoses are ridiculoulsy expensive. my point is if one hose failed others soon will follow. My A6 has a 2.8 and has a small pump that circulates coolant for a few seconds after engine is shut off.
