RS4: Howling tone from engine when warm

RS4: Howling tone from engine when warm
Hi
I have a 2008 RS4 and just recently experienced a high (frequency and volume) howling tone comming from the engine area.
The tone:
1. appears after approx 20min when engine is warm
2. disappear during acceleration
3. seems to be independent of rpm and speed
4. is still there if I turn off engine and turn it right on again
Did anybody experience a similar error?

Deducing from your info, sounds like it also happens at idle, so any idea which part of the engine it's coming from?
Try to pin-point it. Can you make a video? Not only to hear the engine, but to introduce your car !!!!
