Hi guys, this may be slightly duplicitous, but I want to get my TPMS working correctly. The status quo is:
Car (2005 A8 4.2 shorty) has aftermarket 20" R8 rims on it, old (19" turbine) spare. The spare still has Sensor in it, the four rims do not, as I had them built up without as the VCDS says it couldn't reach the controller.
I'm happy to replace all five with new orange, but can I test them/the receiver(s?) without installing everything?
I've always had a TPMS icon on the dash. Autoscan results repeated below, always the same address 65 result..
I want to end up with an error free car, but first, TPMS working...
thanks, K9

You will need to get the Tire Pressure Monitoring module (J502) online and communicating. Please check the repair manual but it looks like that unit is located under the rear seat - so I'd make sure it is plugged in and has the necessary powers/grounds.
I've located the unit under the rear seat and it appears to be all plugged in and grounded appropriately. I'll get sensors replaced in all five wheels and see where we go from there.
Thanks, K9
