Default 1990 Audi V8 Quattro Serpentine Belt

My serpentine belt snapped today. I am hoping someone on here has had experience changing a 1990 audi V8 Quattro belt. I have the diagram of which way the belt goes in and labels the different pulleys, but it is located right behind the radiator and is kind of in a tough spot. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Behind the viscous fan clutch there's a 13mm acorn nut you can move with a long 13mm box end to relieve pressure on the tensioning system. Been a long time and I can't remember if removal of the electric fan is required. With the tensioner retracted, stick a small drill bit or allen wrench in the exposed hole to keep it retracted until you get the belt installed.

electric fan removal required...I've got an offset box end(13/14mm) and get that on there, then use another much larger box end to slide over the end(in my case 14 end) and use that to lever it up (counterclockwise from memory). Get the belt on everything but the most open plastic roller, then slide over roller. Make sure you get the right belt as there are 3 different one's....Thinking the 3.6 auto is 2640(memory) and the 4.2 is 2680 or something like that. 5-speed is something inbetween like 2655. They've shipped me the 4.2 one before.....Good luck, Tom

I found it easier to get to the acorn bolt from underneath, with the viscous fan removed
