Alternaotr pulley problems
My 1986 5000S has a damaged alt pulley. I'm having trouble finding a replacement.
The pulley is 3" and sits flat against the alternator fan.
The alternators I have seen online come with no pulley or one that sticks out about an inch.
I have a spare alternator that came with the car and it also has the extended pulley. I'd like to know what the difference is. My car is 5 speed. Maybe the other kind is on the automatics?
I'm thinking this same pully must be on some other bosch alternator.
I'd be grateful for any advice.
