2004 A8L navigation and counsel controls malfunction

2004 A8L navigation and counsel controls malfunction
Start car screen goes up radio goes on you can't trigger navigation screen with counsel main control button 30 seconds goes by and screen drops lights on both sides of counsel control buttons navigation radio tel system etc flash and all stops. Hit screen button and sequence starts over. Really weird just started doing this any suggestions thanks frank
