Default aftermarket head light fit

I have a 2002 audi a6 4.2 which has a different front end than the other a6"s of that year. When I bought the car it had aftermarket syder head lights in it which do not fit the car that well. I spoke to the rep. from my hot audi .com and he said they do not make an after market light to fit that car, audi still owns the pattern on those cars. Has anyone replaced these before with any luck maybe the a8 light kit would fit?

Why not get original lights from a junk yard? Or you can get in touch with Bryan from audis4parts.com or from Shokan.

Every year widebody 4.2 A6 (2000-2004) uses what is called post-facelift front end. The regular A6 got this treatment in 2002. 1998-2001 regular A6 is called pre-facelift.

Get a used set of original headlights. Your best bet.

There are aftermarket units for the facelift design, and I found one set from Depo that even works with self-leveling. You still need to retrofit them with the leveling motors from your original Audi headlights.

Not a fan of the look of any angel eyes or LEDs but that's just me.

4.2 headlights are widebody specific.

4.2, S6 or RS6 are the only cars you'll be able to source them from.

So a headlight from a post-facelift A6 (non-widebody) will not be compatible with widebody 4.2? Interesting.
