ok got the connector just plugged it in letting the car run for a little. also i have a connecor loose right next to the orange air bag connector loose and cant find any plug to plug it into

Man idk what you're thinking but by putting in used parts behind your dash you're dooming yourself to have to do this job multiple times in a short time span, and even if you don't plan on keeping the car forever good luck selling it when it has a coolant leak in the cab and also leaks ac. Don't cheap out and buy used parts for such a in depth job, the parts need to be new for this job and there is no way around it unless you love taking apart the dash or that 96 a4
