Riding gear recommendations for hot tropical weather?

Alpinestar Air-Flo series. We sell a bunch of different brands...
...of apparel and IMO Alpinestar has always delivered a quality product. Personally, it's what I wear and will most likely continue to wear in the future.
Alpinestar has a line of jackets and pants called "Air-Flo". They have textile pants and jackets that are priced pretty reasonably at around $150-$175.
Here's a trick for you: When it's hot as Hell out and you know you're going for a decent ride (2+ hours or so) soak your t-shirt in water and then put it on under your well-ventilated jacket. You can also douse your head with a water bottle immediately prior to putting your helmet on. This will create an evaporative cooling effect. Next time you wash your hands, blow on them before you dry them and see how cold it really feels.

Lol, what?? Air wouldn't circulate *around* your body. It's directed out the vents..
...in the jacket. Air flowing past your body absolutely would cool you down. Your theory works if the jacket has no exhaust vents...but it should and hopefully he'd know to open them ; ) Otherwise, you're just insulating yourself...and that certainly isn't going to keep you cooler when it's hot.
