Freeze plug? 87 5000 cs.
does the turbo have a freeze plug, it seems by accident ive been running a little too much water and too little antifreeze and i can see coolant come out the side of my turbo right where theres a hole shape, could that be a freeze plug cause its getting cold in massachusetts and i might have pushed it out starting it up in the cold.
any responses appreciated here

Im surprised Nobody helped Me with this, i did find the plug though
well yesterday i found the plug itself and incase anybody dosent know your turbo has 2 freeze plugs, one on the left and one on the right. like usuall the one that popped out was the one thats a pain in the *** to get at, yeah i got in there from underneath with a small hammer and with only about 5 inches of swinging room bopped it in. at least my car holds coolant again

unfourch everything went wrong at the same time on my car
if you look at your five cylinder turbo theres 2 holes on the left and the right side of the turbo, there almost the size of a dime, and now i know for a fact they can be popped out and cause an extreme loss of coolant. unfourchunately this happend at the same time my radiator fan relay welded itself shut and then my batterys kept dying this car i bought thinking it was in good condition and it was but now any hour of my life i can end up under the hood of that car. as much as i love it im tired of fixing it id love it to go a month without something else breaking

same here but mine is a 91 100 quattro (non turbo)a have had about 10+ audis most have been 4000 quattros a few 5000s and the best was a 88 90 quattro trouble free i think the older audis are a fix as you go kinda car and if your not handy with tools and patience you would be better off going with other makes older audis are so cheap its hard to resist buying one that looks good and starts but once you have had it a few days it shows its ugly side sorry you are disappointed with your car this might not be the car for you but if you stick with it i am shure you will grow to enjoy it when every thing comes together and its not a every other day fix (o\_/o) devesvws va
