Default $1250 below invoice (2012)

I bought a loaded 2012 A6 Prestige for $1250 below invoice including freight. This does include the $1500 for having a competitor car so that helped. My car was just over $60K, invoice was approximately $61.5K. I'm extremely happy with the car. I love the adaptive cruise. I used that on 95 today and it was relaxing (for the most part) to set that and go. I did have to apply the brakes if someone cut me off but now that I'm used to that it's no big deal. I have to read up on the other features (night vision, etc).

What an awesome car.

Do you like the adaptive cruise? I have it on my BMWs and do not like it. It works perfectly but I find that I have to step on the gas petal on my car to override it to be able to get people that like to drive in the left lane at 50mph out of the way.

Picked mine up on Friday in northern NJ. 2012 Brilliant Black w/ Black interior Prestige with cold weather and side assist. Dealer gave it to me for $53,250 before any rebates. That's $750 below invoice according to edmunds. I priced it out with about 12 different dealers (thank you internet) and this was the best offer.

I agree wholeheartedly - if you have a trade, you have to look at both sides of the deal. I got about $1800 above invoice on my 2013 order but got $2500 more on my A4 trade than any other dealer in my area offered. This doesn't include the $1500 Loyalty Incentive for 2013's (not yet published but confirmed by someone at AOA I deal with) or the $500 ACNA rebate so all in all, should make this a fair deal at the end of the day.

Is the $1500 for having a "competitor car" an official discount? Just getting ready to shop and need all the advantage I can get. Thanks.

It's an official conquest rebate. The 1500 isn't actually applied to the price, but is a 1500 down payment credit after tax given by Audi (not the dealer). Since it comes out of Audi's pocket and not the dealer's, make sure you negotiate the best price possible before slapping on the additional conquest discount.

Good luck!

I'm typically an aggressive driver but have to say the adaptive cruise calms my nerves. I set it and for the most part don't mess with it. I do agree it's not perfect.

Yup - I didn't trade my car because it's all about net. I listed my Mini on Craigslist and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I did get the dealer to come up $1K after taking my car to the Mini dealer.

Bought a Premium Plus a month ago MSRP $56,995 and dealer gave it to me for $50,000 after $1,500 Conquest money. Finance manager said he has never seen sales make a loss when they have to trade for the vehicle with another dealer, and in the begining of the month as well

I got lucky it was a dead weekend in La La Land.

I just called one of the salesmen here locally in NoVa, and told him what I wanted, he just started running off numbers all of them were MSRP. I asked him to send me a quote and all he told me was "we'll beat any offer you get by $500".

oohhh kay... guess I'll try another dealership until I get a price I want. Something between Invoice and MSRP is fine with me.

This is what I'm looking at getting

Prestige
Aviator Blue Metallic
Titanium Grey Interior
19" Sports Package
Audi Side Assist Package
Cold Weather Package
Full LED Headlights
Fine Grain Ash Natural Brown Wood Inlays.

B&O maybe
